Physio-Assist is currently continuing the “Home-Care SIMEOX®” clinical trial in people with cystic fibrosis aged 12 years and over. The aim of the study is to assess the efficacy and acceptability of self-use of SIMEOX® at home for bronchial clearance.

SIMEOX® is an innovative bronchial drainage device developed by Physio-Assist that is CE marked. Its mechanism of action reduces the viscosity of mucus to improve transport and elimination via the upper airways.

IC@dom is representing the promoter in the design and management of this project.

This randomised trial was launched in March 2020 and plans to include 160 patients with 13 centres currently participating. Nearly 90 participants have already been included.
